Green Tea

Nowadays an increasing number of people seem to have adopted the Chinese and Japanese habit of drinking green tea. It is regarded as a natural remedy for many ills, including hair loss. If people are suffering from hair loss then it is recommended that they drink at least four or five cups a day to stimulate new growth.

Green tea extract is said to be just as beneficial as drinking green tea and to have the same antioxidant content. Some experts suggest that the benefits of green tea, besides helping with hair loss, include cancer prevention and relief from arthritis. Certainly people who have been drinking it for some time say that green tea benefits them in many ways besides stimulating new hair growth. Brewing green tea is quite different from brewing other teas, for a start tea bags are no use, green tea should be loose and brewed in a pot where it can expand. Loose leaf green tea is therefore a must if you are to make the brew properly. Arizona green tea is mixed with ginseng and designed to help with weight loss.

Japanese green tea is fine tea but contrary to popular belief about green tea it can have a very high caffeine content. Lipton green tea is said to be one hundred percent natural but the fact that most of it is sold and bought in bags reduces the flavor content. Lower cholesterol and regulated insulin is a benefit of green tea, weight loss occurs as a result of these two things and this is why green tea is thought to be beneficial in this area. When you drink a sufficient amount of green tea, diet sheets are no longer part of your weight loss programme.

Chinese green tea is often seen as the best green tea because it is organically grown and therefore a more natural product. Many a modern person seems to have an aversion to the tea leaf, green tea is much better in leaf form however because it tends to expand while brewing. While black tea is thought to be less beneficial than green tea, caffeine levels may be higher in some green teas than they are in black tea. The benefits of green tea extract (which is a concentrate of green leaf tea) are enormous as it contains an anti-oxidant said to be two hundred times more powerful than vitamin E. Thus green tea is a good way of retaining youthful looks for longer as anti-oxidants are said to slow down the effects of aging.
